Presbyterian Homes & Family Services has been meeting the needs of some of our most vulnerable citizens for over 105 years. Today, we offer a variety of programs across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Our Children's Programs include an emergency shelter, Genesis House; residential care for teens; an inclusive preschool; intensive in-home, mental health supports and a diagnostic service for children and families; and an independent living program for young people who are transitioning to adulthood. We are able to provide a continuum of care to meet the needs of children, teens and their families.
Our Adult Programs provide group homes for adults with intellectual disabilities in 6 locations across the Commonwealth: Fredericksburg; Lexington, Lynchburg, South Hill, Waynesboro and Zuni. All of our adult residents are actively engaged in the community, working or attending day support, volunteering, attending events, camping, and traveling.
